Lesson Calendar

Our calendar goes from September until June. Enrollment is open during the whole year. Lessons are only given on listed dates. You can check our calendar on our website: https://www.paupa.org/calendar

Student Absence

If a student misses a lesson with or without prior notice, they are not entitled for a make-up lesson (unless they booked an additional enrolment option for this.

Teacher Absence

In cases when the lesson can not take place because a teacher is unavailable, the lesson will be rescheduled.  For this PAUPA will send the student 3 possible make-up appointments within the following month.

30 Days Trial Period

It is possible for the student to cancel their lessons during the first 30 days of your contract. This is valid for every new customer.

Payment

The first payment is due right after enrolment. For the following months payments are due the 1st of each month for the upcoming month. (For example: 01.02.23 for February 2023.) Payments are to be done via bank transfer to the bank account stated in the enrolment form.

Tuition Costs

Every full month the costs for tuition are the same. This also applies to months were there are more/less lessons than average, because prices are calculated over the school year. The costs of the tuition vary depending on your needs. Please choose your preferred options in the enrolment form.

Extras

There are certain extras that can be booked via the enrolment process. Please inform yourself about them on the corresponding sites for regular lessons or Open Music Groups.

Contract Duration

The regular duration for our enrolment contracts is 4 months. However you can choose an Extra and be able to cancel at the end of every month.

Cancellation

Cancellations are possible anytime to the end of the chosen enrolment duration. A cancellation needs to be made in writing via E-Mail.

Terms and Conditions Last updated: 01.10.22 We’ve prepared this document to help you better understand and to feel more confident about how our terms and conditions are at PAUPA. These general terms and conditions apply to all contracts for our services (local or digital) and are between PAUPA (Avenida Argentina 81, 7C, Palma de Mallorca, Spain) and the customer/student. 1. Local School 1.1 General 1.1.1 Calendar Our calendar goes from September until June. Enrollment is open during the whole year. You can check our calendar on our website: https://www.paupa.org/calendar 1.1.2 Trial lesson We offer a free trial lesson for children who have never booked any lesson with us. If the children are not able to carry out the trial lesson set for any reason, they are not entitled to another free trial lesson. 1.1.3 Student Absence If a student misses a lesson with or without prior notice, they are not entitled for a make-up lesson (unless they booked an additional enrolment option for this. If a student is unable to attend a lesson due to prolonged illness (4 consecutive weeks or more), we offer a 50% money back of the missed time. A doctor's certificate will be required in order to process such an application from the start of the illness and the cancellation of the first lesson. 1.1.4 Teacher Absence In cases when the lesson can not take place because a teacher is unavailable, the lesson will be rescheduled. For this PAUPA will send the student 3 possible make-up appointments within the following month. For individual lessons: The student then has 7 days to either accept one of the appointments or ask for 3 additional possible appointments within the time frame. The dates will always be determined by PAUPA. If the student did not choose a make-up date in the given time (1st and 2nd proposal) or can not make it for the proposed appointments, they do not have a right for reimbursement of the missed lesson. For group lessons (regular and special groups): PAUPA sends only 3 possible new appointments which then can be voted for in the next 7 days. The one with the most participants will be chosen. This can only be applied for a maximum of once per month. If the teacher misses more than one session in a month, the student has a right for reimbursement of the additionally missed sessions. 1.1.5 Lesson times Classes take place on predetermined dates, which are either set or, in case of new individual or group lessons (for regular lessons) will be determined before the first lesson. From then on the appointment is always the same for every week. 1.1.6 Place of Instruction The location of the lessons is always: Anglican Church Palma (Basement entrance front) Carrer Núñez de Balboa, 6 07014 Palma 1.1.7 Withdraw To withdraw from your enrolment, the student has to send us their withdrawal in writing via email to musicpaupa@gmail.com. 1.1.8 30 days Trial Period It is possible for the student to cancel their lessons during the first 30 days of your contract. This is valid for every new customer. If the student for some reason doesn’t want to continue their lessons after 30 days, they can send a written message via email to musicpaupa.org until 7 days before the end of their first enrolment month. The contract will then be canceled after the first 30 days . 1.1.9 Tuition The tuition depends on the chosen pricing plan for the enrolment. Prices are listed on the website. Unless noted differently, the fees are to be paid monthly and are due at the 1st day of the month. The amount is the same for every month and does not depend on the amount of available lessons, but simply on being enrolled. Tuitions are as listed with each lesson/course description. Tuitions include the lessons, teacher preparation and communication. 1.1.10 Payment methods and Billing To reserve a place in the lesson calendar, enrolling is necessary. This is only possible through the website and by first, registering on the website with a new account and second, booking a pricing plan. Full lesson payment is due right after the booking through our website. If a student books in advance for enrolling from the first day of the next month, the first monthly fee is still being booked right away in the booking process. The payment can be made via www.paupa.org using the payment methods available on that site. Until the first payment of your tuition if paid,, your enrolment will not be confirmed. Fees will be charged from students’ bank account/credit card on the 1st day of each month (unless noted differently). ​ 1.2 Regular Lessons These terms apply to all regular lessons. 1.2.1 Enrolment A regular enrollment lasts 4 calendar months and ends automatically after that. Students can only begin their enrolment period on the first day of each month. It is possible to take lessons before the regular enrolment time (starting in the middle of a month). In that case students need to sign up from the first of the next month and then will be charged separately for the lessons taken before via invoice. 1.2.2 Lesson Duration Individual lessons last 30min/week , group lessons 45min/week. 1.2.3 Rescheduling Card Per quarter students receive one "rescheduling card". With this they can cancel a lesson up to 48 hours in advance. The lesson will be rescheduled by PAUPA in a term of 1 month. In case the rescheduling card is used, the lesson will be rescheduled. For this PAUPA will send the student 3 possible make-up appointments within the following month of which one needs to be chosen within 7 days by the student. The dates will be determined by PAUPA. If the student did not choose a make-up date in the given time or can not make it for the proposed appointments, they do not have a right for reimbursement of the missed lesson. For groups there is 1 card per group and the group needs to decide collectively on their own when to use it. The cards are being sent out at the beginning of January, April, July and October. 1.3 Extras These extras need to be booked additionally. 1.3.1 45min/week For individual lessons it is possible to increase the lesson duration from 30min to 45min per session. 1.3.2 Flexible Re-scheduling With this every lesson can be canceled up to 48 hours in advance. After this follows the same process as described for the rescheduling card (1.2.3). 1.3.3 Monthly Enrolment With this option, the contract is renewed automatically every calendar month. The student may withdraw from the enrolment at any time with a minimum of 1 business day in advance of the next issued payment charge (usually the 1st of the month). To do so, the student can do it through the website, accessing their account. If students wish to do it manually via email, 5 working days in advance are required. 1.4 Special Groups 1.4.1 General Special Groups (for example Open Music Groups) work very similar to regular groups, with the difference that here there is a set age group and lesson subject. 1.4.2 Enrolment You can enrol for a special group through either: a) Just for one session. b) For 4 months. c) With a continuous enrolment period that you can cancel at the end of every calendar month. Options a) and b) work just like for regular lessons (see from 1.1 until 1.2). Option b) additionally offers the possibility of monthly withdrawal as described in 1.3.3. Option c) needs to be asked for via email and then paid cash. 2. Online Media, Courses and Memberships 2.1 Purchase of Content PAUPA is the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Website and/or Services. (unless mentioned differently). The content (individual videos, printables etc) can be purchased individually through our website. The customer thus receives a right of use for the content acquired in each case. The exact conditions for individual purchases (e.g. length of the teaching material, type of videos etc) can be found in the product descriptions on PAUPA's website. Website members will also be added automatically to the email list. All rights of use stay reserved for PAUPA. 3. General Terms (local and online) 3.1 Policy Changes We reserve the right to update or modify this policy at any time. Changes will be announced in advance. Your use of our services following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the policies as changed. If any part of these General Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, all other components shall nevertheless remain effective and the ineffective part shall be replaced by an effective. 3.2 Gift Cards The gift card is a digital gift card sent by email. Each Gift Card is valid for 12 months from its purchase. It will be received by email after the purchase that can be made on this website. The gift card cannot be exchanged for money in any case. It cannot be used in combination with other offers, coupons or gift cards. 3.3 Data protection PAUPA is committed to safeguarding your personal information. Whenever you provide such information, we are legally obliged to use your information in line with all laws concerning the protection of personal information, including the Data Protection Act 1998. For more details, see our Privacy Policy: https://www.paupa.org/privacy-policy With agreeing to these general terms and conditions you also agree to our privacy policy. 3.4 Right of withdrawal Customers have the right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days (from the purchase and as long as the classes have not started) without giving any reason. To exercise the right of withdrawal, customers must contact us before the expiry of the withdrawal period. Services that were already taken will be charged. 3.5 COVID-19 Persons with an active COVID-19 infection are not allowed to enter the rooms of PAUPA. For students who are infected, PAUPA offers online lessons, but only with 6 hours of advanced notice. In case that PAUPA is not allowed to give in person lessons, the customer agrees to have online lessons until the school can open again for regular in person lessons. These will be held via Zoom, Google Meet or Skype. 3.6 Severability Clause If any part of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, all other components shall nevertheless remain effective and the ineffective part shall be replaced by an effective, mutatis mutandis part.
